Did you know Watson’s Chocolates once put out a simple sign along Delaware Avenue that read “Fresh Sponge Candy Today” just to let the neighbors know it was ready?

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming News 4’s Kelsey Anderson—whose wedding favors came from Watson’s—along with Dave Greber and a very special guest, Grandma Joyce. Grandma Joyce raised her family right across the street from our Kenmore shop, making this visit especially meaningful.

The segment had us all a little emotional, and we’re so proud to share this story of a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated chocolate company that continues to be part of life’s sweetest moments.

Eighty years (and more than 80,000 pounds of sponge candy a year) later, these traditions are still going strong. Generations of families have celebrated Valentine’s Day, Easter, Christmas, and so much more with Watson’s.
