We have been customers for well over 30 years, even more. The Watson family were good neighbors. While some of us still live in Buffalo, others have moved on but Watson's chocolates are part of our families must have delights anytime we are there and we spend mega dollars always buying some for the house and more for gifts. Yesterday, May 1 my husband spent well over $100 as per ususal. We bought a bag of sponge candy which for the very first time in forever were inedible. There was a foul aftertaste. Believe me I know what it tastes like. It's my favorite. These were off, really off. Today, May 2, I called and spoke to the female store manager who was working at the Elmwood store. She tried to shift blame on me and made a litany of excuses as to why I was wrong. She asked me to send the sponge candy back. Never once did she offer a refund or apologize for our disappointment. I love the sponge candy. My thought if something had to be mailed, how about send me a replacement! Maybe 2 bags. When I asked her to tell me her name she hung up on me. I was not belligerent at all, actually more confounded. We have spent many thousands of dollars over the years, seriously. Shocked, disrespected, and disappointed. The Watson business has always been reputable and excellent. She is not that by any means. We will be speaking to the family to follow up. Terrible and unexpected interaction. Disgraceful interaction. This woman is a very poor reflection for a wonderful establishment.

This was introduced to us by a UB student in a conversation we live in Binghamton area so we never heard of this type of Chocolate we were very pleased with this convection it’s a delicious chocolate.

Delicious, but I wish it had just slightly less chocolate on it so that I could truly appreciate the sponge candy inside, I feel like the abundance of chocolate takes away from the sponge, but still one of my favorite candies.

I have been purchasing Watson’s Chocolates for many years. Their sponge chocolate is the BEST. It just melts in your mouth. I have family who live out of town. They don’t leave for home without a stop to Watson’s. Not only is their sponge wonderful, all their chocolates and candies are delicious.
